coxtherapistIn recent months, San Diego residents have enjoyed a series of witty new Cox Communications commercials inspired by shows such as “The Dating Game.” Thus far, Satellite Video Productions has produced 3 campaigns for Cox Communications in 2009, and local lighting company Available Light/JT Services has partnered with Cox on an ongoing basis to provide lighting services for each commercial shoot.

The first campaign, "Fortune Cookie," was a series of six humorous spots shot at Chin's in La Mesa. Following the campaign's success, Cox proceeded with a second campaign spoofing The Dating Game called "It's Your Choice." The spots were shot at Satellite Video Productions on a set designed by Jeff Van Gonka that nailed the original show's look and feel. Most recently, Cox has moved into a series of commercials featuring a therapist dishing out life-changing advice to confused and frustrated customers.
